In 1986, Nicole Yang founded the Harmony Home. For almost thirteen years, she has looked after more than seven hundred migrant workers‘ children. Everyone calls Nicole, “Mimi”, meaning “mother”. Mimi is always busy with so many things, including driving the expectant mothers to the hospital at night, taking care of the babies, sometimes, she even has to deliver babies with her bare hands.

Away from home, some migrant workers have children while working in Taiwan. However, so often when the

female workers get pregnant, they do not receive any blessing and are even treated as if they did something wrong.

Due to various reasons, many pregnant female migrant workers run away from their employers, going into hiding with their children. As these invisible children have lost their rights to everything, Mimi fearlessly comes to their rescue since she believes that humanitarian aid should not be hampered by any conditions. Some people are moved by her spirits, but some criticize her for protecting those who break the law...

1986年,楊婕妤創建了「關愛之家」,近13年來服務了超過700位移工的孩子。大家都叫她咪咪,就是媽媽的意思。咪咪永遠有很多事要做,深夜接送產婦、照顧孩子、縫製義賣品、與外界單位溝通應對,甚至徒手接生嬰兒
都是她的日常。
 
離鄉背井來到臺灣工作的人們,孕育了新生命,但很多時候,懷孕的移工媽媽不一定被祝福,反而被視為一種錯誤。當母親基於各種原因成為失聯移工,孩子也被帶進看不見的社會角落。在這些隱形的孩子還無法享有權益的時候,咪咪就無懼後果伸出援手,因為她相信人道救援沒有條件。有人為她的精神所感動,也有人批評她包庇非法...
