Dungeon
The Weirdo in Taiwan Documentary Series
Role: Producer / Assistant Editor
Human desire should never become an animal tragedy.
This sanctuary is home to over 2,000 wild animals, each bearing the scars left by human hands. Potter, the monkey, lost his hands to an illegal trap. Salmon, the brown bear from a circus, was abandoned in a cage too small to move. Foster, the orangutan, was smuggled and confined in a shadowy basement. Liger, a lion-tiger hybrid, suffers from severe genetic disorders caused by human meddling.
Through the lens of this film, we enter their world — the memories, the pain, the anger — seeing it all as they do. When the shadows of the past resurface, these animals speak, not in words we usually hear, but in truths we need to understand.
Director’s Words
“I wanted to tell this story from the animals’ perspective. It’s uncomfortable, even controversial, but it’s the only way to truly grasp what they endure. By letting the audience see through their eyes, feel their fear, and hear their anger, I hope to reveal the cost of human desire — and awaken empathy that words alone cannot capture.”
